Seated in front of an unlit fireplace, warm lighting and a few beers scattered around the house, sets the intimate mood as By Lightning performs at a house show in front of a small group of fans. This intimate performance was being recorded for Sofar Sounds Nashville. Their folky/Americana sound matched the Southern-influenced decor in the house off of 12th South.

Edgefest might have been a little less “edgy” this year, but it certainly wasn’t lacking in entertainment value, and definitely not in crowd support.

Indie favorites A Silent Film, The Mowgli’s, Youngblood Hawke, Capital Cities and Atlas Genius dominated the start of the fest, serving up the big radio hits we all know and love from 102.1 The Edge.

All day Saturday was a busy but fun day full of music for our GoodBAMMCrew.  Things started earlier than normal with Taylor Prater covering Edgefest 23 for us in Frisco.
Review + tons of great photos coming later this week!

Saturday afternoon I had the opportunity to meet up with the Wheeler Brothers atop Live Oak Music Hall's rooftop/patio & bar.  Extremely popular hangout for Fort Worth these days.  We had a nice chat about their most recent gigs, the new album and upcoming shows!

Before we jump into the interview I have to tell you about the live show leading up to the Wheeler Brothers headlining debut at Live Oak.

The O's have been everywhere, and so have their fans, promoting the heck out of their release show for their newest album Thunderdog at Granada Theater.

The duo came along with the support of I Love Math and Telegraph Canyon, a trio of local folk bands that make for a deadly yet satisfying show that everyone was anyone made certain to make time to see.
