Astronautalis 35 Denton Interview+Review
Review/Interview & Photos by: Taylor Prater
I’d known from before the festival even began that Astronautalis’ set was one of the most anticipated of the weekend. Not having seen him live myself, I was stoked to see why he’d gathered such a loyal following as a performer from Minnesota.
His punctuality helped. The dude was ready to rock right as the clock struck 3 – he was waiting for this just as much as the crowd.

Cold and Soaked Fans Endure the Final Days of 35 Denton

It's almost St. Patty's Day and that means one thing in my book...SXSW week!!! I'm excited to head down to Austin for a long weekend of food trucks, people watching and music!! I'll be interviewing artists and covering as many shows as my ears can handle so check back for exclusive content right here on GoodBAMMSho.
Last Saturday I started off the music week with some local acts at 35 Denton. I had high hopes to see The Cannabinoids featuring Sarah Jaffe but unfortunately the finicky Texas weather made other plans.
Heavy storms hit Denton early in the evening shutting down registration and both outdoor stages. All of the bands scheduled to play outdoors were quickly moved to inside venues including The Cannabinoids. Once I caught wind that they were moved to The Hive it was already too late. Since registration was closed my paper tickets were no good and the line to see the hip-hop crooners and the enchanting Miss Jaffe was wrapped around the block. Luckily the night wasn't a total wash and I was able to check out Solange at The Hive.
