Tuscaloosa | Foreign Fields [REVIEW]

Most bands are quick to pack up, load gear and hit the road while on tour and playing various towns and shows. Foreign Fields decided to hang around one night last year and perform a few more songs just for friends.

Tuscaloosa, the bands latest EP, was the end result thanks to Cal Quinn who produced, recorded and mixed the session that evening in where else, Tuscaloosa. The band gives due credit to Cal for his work in capturing the night and "making it sound the way we hoped it would."

Tennessee's residents have a famed past when it comes to giving their all - whether it's fighting against the British, or helping the less fortunate in its communities.
On Friday November 30th, and Saturday December 1st, national nonprofit Poverty Is Real hosted a weekend chock full of music in Nashville, Tennessee, a worldwide musical mecca.  Right off the heels of incredible sold-out shows at the Bluebird Cafe, Poverty Is Real kicked off an incredible night of music on Elliston Place, at the much-loved venue Exit/In.

Nashvillians flocked to the show and packed it out, raising money for local charity, Open Table Nashville.  The charity, which works side by side with the city's homeless and impoverished population, helps reestablish citizens, and provides a safe, nurturing environment for at-risk families and individuals.

Sofar Sounds Comes to Nashville

A few months back we had a chance to review the Sofar Sounds DFW show in Denton, TX which ended up being one of our favorite reviews not to mention "new favorite way to watch a show."
If you're not familiar Sofar Sounds, started March 2009 in London, England, brings together artists and bands with music fans to intimate living room settings all across the globe.
Not long after our Sofar DFW review we were asked if we'd like to help get things started in Nashville and of course we jumped at the chance!
The Nashville team quickly took shape through coordination from Sofar London, Sofar DFW and global music scout Mary Elizabeth who spearheaded the mission to launch the Nashville team.
