And we’re back! Dallas Observer Music Awards Showcase 2013 returned this week and brought with it a ton of bands we all know and love from around the metroplex. I don’t know about you guys, but it seems like it was only yesterday DOMA 2012 was here.
Picking out who to see was particularly tough with certain venues this go around, but I think we seemed to manage well enough. There’s just so much local music love to give.

You’ve probably heard all about it the past week, what with the constant hype surrounding Home By Hovercraft’s upcoming LP Are We Chameleons? at last slated for a March 12 digital release.
The band itself has garnered significant attention as one of DFW’s most innovative live acts, with a following committed to every word sung, every note played.
With that, Saturday’s set at Dallas’ Club Dada was sure to be explosive.
Say you want a revolution? How about a combination of a semi massive local live music showcase and a full blown rock musicial "about a time-traveling hot air balloon, Marie Antoinette, and a would-be hero with a really cool gun?"
Tomorrow eve-ning 60+ bands will emerge into Deep Ellum bringing the kinda local swag only bands like HOME BY HOVERCRAFT can theatrically bring it! Dallas Observer Music Awards Showcase kicks off right after 5:30pm tomorrow and is forming up to be an effing great night of local goodness! We'll be there, hope to meet some of you!
As for HxH, they take the stage at 7:40p inside Club Dada and should bring a diverse crowd with them as one of Dallas' fav. groups. Nominated for "Best None of the Above" at this years DOMA's only breaks the surface to their who needs labels when you have talent approach to their classically theatrical folk/rock.
