Seated in front of an unlit fireplace, warm lighting and a few beers scattered around the house, sets the intimate mood as By Lightning performs at a house show in front of a small group of fans. This intimate performance was being recorded for Sofar Sounds Nashville. Their folky/Americana sound matched the Southern-influenced decor in the house off of 12th South.

Sofar Sounds Comes to Nashville
A few months back we had a chance to review the Sofar Sounds DFW show in Denton, TX which ended up being one of our favorite reviews not to mention "new favorite way to watch a show."
If you're not familiar Sofar Sounds, started March 2009 in London, England, brings together artists and bands with music fans to intimate living room settings all across the globe.
Not long after our Sofar DFW review we were asked if we'd like to help get things started in Nashville and of course we jumped at the chance! The Nashville team quickly took shape through coordination from Sofar London, Sofar DFW and global music scout Mary Elizabeth who spearheaded the mission to launch the Nashville team.
Sofar Sounds, Songs from a Room: My New Favorite Way to Watch a Show [Review]
| Sofar DFW |
Sofar Sounds, Songs From a Room, brings secret "pop-up" gigs into the homes of people all over the world. It's hush hush. So secretive in fact, you don't even know who's playing until you walk through the door. This past Saturday I was fortunate to land on the guest list and attend Sofar's latest event in the small music hub of Denton, TX.
