D@FW Weekend Project

Here's an idea, nothing new just worth throwing out.  Dallas live music "flockers"should come to Fort Worth this weekend for your fix.  We'll list one, two or three good reasons then let you do your thing and pick one or be individual and find your own.
Next week we'll flip it in reverse and send Fort Worth to Dallas, you get the idea.

Tonight - Friday, June 15th at 8pm everyone DFW wide plus Denton should come out to Fort Worth's brand new spot The Live Oak Music Hall and Lounge to catch John Oates live supporting his latest release The Bluesville Sessions.

Tickets are available through Live Oak's website.

Live Oak & Oates on Opening Night - Fort Worth

Friday on the Green, Magnolia Street Festival, ArtsGoggle & Oktoberfest are just a few of the great cultural experiences offered on the Near Southside Community in Fort Worth.
This Friday, June 15th a new addition to the area will officially open on the corner of Lipscomb and Magnolia known as The Live Oak Music Hall & Lounge.
The home for The Live Oak is located inside a 5,000 square foot building with a lot of history considering it started life as the South Side Lion's Club hosting dances and other forms of community entertainment.
Last week I had the opportunity to get a personal tour of the new/fully renovated venue and still haven't figured out the exact words to explain both the atmosphere and vibe you get from both the history of the building and the years of creative vision the founder, Mr. Bill Smith has brought to the architectural design throughout the facility and all the outside feature areas apart of the The Live Oak. A big thank you to Mr. Clint Simpson for taking the time out of his busy schedule as entertainment manager for the tour and rundown on all things Live Oak!
