Center Stage [REVIEW] Spacetrain & Gone By Daylight
Review/Photos by: Amber Davis
Directly across Cannery Ballroom is a nightclub called Center Stage Nashville. Even though this venue is known for their club vibe, Sunday night they had Spacetrain and Gone By Daylight.
Nashville’s own Spacetrain opened up the night with a strong rock sound. Their energy and chemistry from the trio was apparent. Their sound has a form of old-classic rock and a few subtle funk notes.
Alex Skyles, lead vocalist and guitarist, embraced the double decker stage by jumping off and running around during his intense guitar solos.
Spacetrain produces a unique sound, but reminds us of old-classic rock ‘70s-’80s era.
The next band to play was Chicopee, Massachusetts’, Gone By Daylight [top image]. They announced how it was their first time in Nashville and how it was a privilege to be there. Their style is glamorous pop-punk with ‘80’s guitar. The lead singer Eric Paquette walked on the edge of the stage, begging the audience to sing along to a simple chorus.
We could easily see this band at Warped Tour with a few screaming 12 year-old girls with blue dye in their hair.
Check out a recent video for Gone By Daylight promoting their UMASS show last month.
