Saturday kicks off with Dex Romweber Duo, The Black Belles, Jane Rose and the Deadend Boys, Jeff Zentner and Elin Palmer followed by Sunday's show featuring PUJOL, Brian Olive, Boogaloosa Prayer and The Ultras S/C [who choose to remain under the interwebs grid].
Billed as a fan based/appreciation event for people who dig Third Man Records this rock fest should serve as a nice follow up to last years slam off Cannery Row.
Dallas & DFW for that matter have a THREE day event starting today May 25th [insert cliche' BIGGER IN TEX...] with the CityArts Festival at Fair Park.
Friday, Saturday & Sunday will feature among other things, art, entertainment and activities for all comers young and old including the annual outdoor ARTFEST showcasing pieces by 150 successful artists.
If film is more your thing then you'll dig the two outdoor films tonight and Saturday night with 60's themed dance parties. Professional culinary demos and tastings will be available indoors with some of Dallas' best chefs and ingredient spinners.
Local sounds + Nashville artists [unintended tie in] will be apart of Metro PCS sponsored main stage with 5 Second Rule out of Big D and Music City singer/songwriter Derik Hultquist with more happening for tonight's lineup. Zound Sounds - School of Rock will melt your funnel cakes [no promise of said funnel cake vendors but one can hope] on Saturday along with "master artists" of Septian Entertainment Group - Ryan Akin & more perform throughout the day.
Have a safe one people regardless the city you call home for the weekend and without getting sappy let's all try and remember why we get an extra day off or what we are celebrating in the first place, remembering the ones who died protecting our right to live, partake the freedom and party -- so enjoy!
