Live Oak & Oates on Opening Night - Fort Worth

Friday on the Green, Magnolia Street Festival, ArtsGoggle & Oktoberfest are just a few of the great cultural experiences offered on the Near Southside Community in Fort Worth.
This Friday, June 15th a new addition to the area will officially open on the corner of Lipscomb and Magnolia known as The Live Oak Music Hall & Lounge.
The home for The Live Oak is located inside a 5,000 square foot building with a lot of history considering it started life as the South Side Lion's Club hosting dances and other forms of community entertainment.
Last week I had the opportunity to get a personal tour of the new/fully renovated venue and still haven't figured out the exact words to explain both the atmosphere and vibe you get from both the history of the building and the years of creative vision the founder, Mr. Bill Smith has brought to the architectural design throughout the facility and all the outside feature areas apart of the The Live Oak. A big thank you to Mr. Clint Simpson for taking the time out of his busy schedule as entertainment manager for the tour and rundown on all things Live Oak!
Oh Oh Here He Comes... he's a - seven time RIAA platinum album winner and a six time RIAA gold album achiever and exactly 1/2 of the insanely popular 70's - 80's pop/rock group Hall & Oates, yep talking about Mr. John Oates.
If the brand new cool spot on The Near Southside wasn't enough reason to come out Friday night - catching a pop/rock legend certainly is more than enough. Tickets are still available for the Friday night show which is scheduled to start at 8pm but it would be best to hurry your purchase!
Check out a quick preview of John's show with this fan shot performance of "Maneater" live from "Wild Rose Casino" in Iowa and we hope to see you on the 15th.
