Good Eats - Good Sounds - Maid Rite!

4101 W Green Oaks Blvd #349  Arlington, TX 76016

Next time you're near Lake Arlington make a point to stop by Maid-Rite Diner and grab some great grub.

The signature "loose meat sandwich" was created by founder Fred Angell, of Muscatine Iowa, back in 1926.

Walking in the door your are instantly greeted with smiles and a retro diner vibe meshed with contemporary colors that make for a cool polished 50's kinda shine!
.
Along with all the shiny colors and sparkle is something unique out of all other Maid-Rite Diners... the biggest Texas Sized/Texas Table I've ever seen, period!
.
So before you ask, no we are not moonlighting as a restaurant/food review blog.  Aside from enjoying our individual orders of country fried steak and blacken tilapia plus wanting to share the experience, there is a live music point to this post!

To our delight we had the chance to check out the Ebenezer band while enjoying our meal!
Covering a nice variety of 60's - 70's and some 80's music the band offers up a solid groove and nice harmonies.

Traditionally a five piece, Ebenezer went back to their original 1986 format as an acoustic duo for their diner performance this night.
My personal favorite song of the night was their Cyndi Lauper cover of "Time After Time".

Be sure to give Maid-Rite a try soon when you need something new and tasty!

Check out Ebenezer when you're in the need for some solid 60's-80's cover songs.  Parties, Anniversaries and Corporate Events are their specialty!
